Yateley Silverbacks Basketball Club

The Yateley Silverbacks is a friendly, highly competitive basketball club based in Yateley, Hampshire. The club boasts three mens teams, one ladies team, and numerous youth teams ranging from U12 to U18, providing opportunities for a wide range of age groups and skill levels to participate in the sport. The club is always on the lookout for new members with basketball experience.

The Adult Silverbacks compete in the Wessex League, and the Juniors play in the Central Venue League demonstrating their competitive spirit and commitment to the sport. There is an open session for adults (16+ years) of any skill level to simply come and enjoy playing. The club's ethos is not just about competition, but also about fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among its members.

Coach Pete

Pete set up the Silverbacks in 2010 and remains the driving force behind the club. He is also the Surrey Scorchers' assistant coach in the UK's premier basketball competition - the BBL.

We partner closely with Coach Pete's 'Diddy Dunkers' - designed to introduce children, aged 6 - 12, to basketball in a fun and supportive environment.
